The fuel tank shown below was one of several utilized in the worlds most famous race course, The Indianapolis Motor Speedway. These tanks were manufactured from 304 2-B stainless steel. Then using the latest developments in polishing materials, buffed to a bright finish. The tanks are sized to hold 350 gallons of exotic racing fuels; however, as speed is everything in this sport, a sloping baffle in the bottom was designed to increase the head pressure on the gravity fed fueling hose, thereby restricting the volume to slightly over the allowed capacity of 245 gallons.
